Muharram 1436

As we start another New Year , the evolution of mankind continues ... we follow the road that lies before us . How do we react to the events as they come? As a Muslim of heart living amidst a world of such chaos , the struggle seems HUGE to balance the heart with the needs of modern life. I wish to focus , this year on growth , balance and study of continued TRUTH . As I relate to " tools" prepared to teach us ,I ask that Allah will forever keep me present , mindful and wishing to learn from the Prophet's sunna of his lifestyle. I ask not to be judgmental of others but simply reactive to my path and my actions. Please help me to be compassionate , proactive and strong in body and mind seeking the ultimate TRUTH . Let my days be numbered by goodness and not the deceptive charms of Iblis. As I ask for Allah's support to do this, let me so too support others along the way .

18th of Zul-Hijjah

As we sit to remember the advices given to us from our beloved Prophet and his companions, I look at the world we live in now in 2014 ... the tears for a failed ummah flow from my eyes and heart . Whatever can my humble spirit do but beg for His forgiveness for those who do not know , those who do not care and for those I love and respect . It was so few , short days since the Eid al Adha when we submitted once again to the FAITH that is merciful and filled with compassion for us, believers . Please help us to focus on that hope for the Hereafter and act in accordance with these principles. It is so easy to look around and miss the visions for HOPE ..let us always seek the TRUTH in all that we see, do and envision . Thank you for YOUR continued scholars who give us so much to meditate about. Let us always , eternally believe in YOU ... even as we pass on into the Hereafter .

9th Zul Hijjah

As we awake today to remember those making their HAAJ , let us recall the reason for their journey . To believe fully with sincerity of intention is what we strive for as honest Muslims . So Allah has asked that we trust HIM and follow His guidelines . When we do that HE will reward US BEYOND ALL MEASURE. OUR calling to is to listen , respond and obey . No matter how complicated or difficult the call appears . When we do obey , the HOPE ( and SURITY) is that all will be well . To recall Prophet Abraham's test with his son, only strengthens our HOPE as we approach our tests . Today the 9th of Zul Hijjah requires that we pray, fast when able to and make our duwahs known to HIM . His promise is that , when we surrender to HIS command , He will accommodate our requests on this day . Please do take advantage of this , brothers and sisters ... seek the duwahs you need answered and make them known to HIM today ..especially the last hour before sunset. It is chance not to miss this mercy ! The Feast of EID will follow with our sacrifices of meat , compassion and kindnesses done for the needy . The good deeds we do will never be wasted in HIS eyes. Let us all continue to try to please HIM and make our final journal of life's efforts be full and worthy.
