Rabi I day 2 1438

As the months unfold , I can always feel HIS presence and those angels watching over me wherever I am . Greatest thanks for your never-ending mercy !

Now as I recover from a rather traumatic event in Chicago last month , I can especially be grateful for the Family, the doctors, the nurses and machines that helped diagnose my situation while on a visit to my son and family .

The blessings bestowed upon me were HUGE ... gratitude FOREVER are due to my Maker . Worldly happiness comes from good health and safety . My happiness today comes from the ease with which I am now recovering .  Please make me eternally grateful . GO SLOW AMIDST THE NOISE.>

Prayers and HOPE for those others who also recover from traumas.

Bless us all, everyone ..dear Allah.

Safar 10 1438

When the world presents only dark thoughts, we can reach inside us and look for what is BEST within.  HE has made the SOUL inherently GOOD ... so we can manage the winds of change around us.  TODAY my inner wisdom asks me to lean on my GOD and seek HIS guidance to understand what may be "UNFATHOMABLE" . November 9 2016 has been a black day for many worldly dreams ... please help us to examine how these dreams may be not good for mankind ..in the long
run .

Please help me to pray for world peace and love and brotherhood .!

SAFAR 1438

As Safar has just arrived , things are moving so rapidly . The sun just rises and sets so fast that one does not even see the daylight pass.  The prayers are very fleeting as they come so close together . Perhaps this is Allah's way of making the darkness easier to handle ...as we are sustained by the full prayers said and solid to maintain mankind . The darkness can be overwhelming at times but with HIS usual love and mercy , Allah gives us respite as we are truly believers .

This week, a realization came thru to me from an event that filled , even the strongest of physically fit athletes with fear and dark thoughts. However with a divine intervention , Allah reached out in mercy  and rained a shower of water to cool the brows of even hard-core sportsmen. In that , the men found a space to restore themselves and move on to succeed in their mission without fear.  You see how kind and loving our Creator is to those who do HIS work ... JUSTICE does prevail .

The thanks we owe for every little bounty is fully, HUGELY reminiscent of HIS LOVE for us ..at every turn . Let us always seek the eyes to see this bounteous love .

Muharram 18 1438

Allah be praised .. YOU have brought us to another New Year in Islamic history . Where are we going and where have we been ? As I reflect on my own personal destiny ,  I can only see the hand of my Creator holding me through so many trials and tribulations. ...leaving me with the total surrender to HIM and gratitude for WHAT IS today.

Occasionally my power seems very strong but the underlying weakness within me calls out to resurface ...AS IT DOES DO .  Today is one of those days when I turn inward again to beg for HIS understanding and mercy . Then I am certain that I will request that HE  thrive for my best welfare . I am nothing without HIS strength ... so we carry on thruout our years to follow ...as we have done so many times in the past.     Reflect on the LOVE , MERCY , JUSTICE and all we gain when we simply be mindful of the reality of this moment .

Allah's plans are all that we can hope for . As one of the faithful , please keep me content to be YOUR slave and always bow to YOUR will, MY RABB. Let me not forget the past lessons taught to make me humble, contrite and repentant in all my days.  

I am naught but a small speck in the sand of humanity ... please do not forsake me Oh Lord.

Muharram 6 1438

The Month of Muharram marks the beginning of the next Islamic Year... now at day 6,  we look to the next year and where Allah may direct our path. Accepting the surrender to HIS will must be our annual focus ... being aware of the work HE has in mind for us .  As we read Sura Taubah daily , we see how close we are to hypocrisy ...if HIS grace does not save us . Allah has given us the IMAN, the Quran and the Prophet's sunna , to remind us of what is expected .

However my reminder this period, is that the world can not support our corrected thinking. It is only the remembrance that we are HIS and will return to HIM when this life is finished . The hereafter is where we must turn ... examining what we MUST take there with us. Purity, good deeds in abundance , seeking forgiveness daily , and patience to ENDURE what every moment brings to us .

Regard DEATH with fondness , never allowing FEARS to intrude in our mind .

Judgments about this world will do us no good in the Hereafter... let them go and face your own foibles with the wish to correct and discipline your own NAFS.

Shawwal 25 1437

MY OH MY... Shawwal has flown by our eyes in such happiness . After Ramadan this year the heart was opened to accept the purity of HIS plans for me... I have no words to express my gratitude . We must continually remember how much HE cares for each one of HIS own ... never stop asking HIM to help . HE hears everything. Just be aware that HIS time is not always our time.

Today I wish to continue my road to gratitude ...never allowing the fears to enter my heart ...even when physical and emotional crises occur .

The road to Jannat is strewn with flowers and thorns ... be aware which is which and handle each accordingly ...persevering with HOPE and BELIEF.  NO room for despair !!!

Ramadan 28 1437

We have just witnessed Laitul Qadr again this year ... thank you for YOUR merciful audience that YOU give us . We had another opportunity to beg for HIS forgiveness ...let not our fatigue overcome us too early so that we know we need HIS help. Being human means that we will continue to fail ...let us ask forgiveness at least 70 times day .

By connecting with our Source , we can learn to grow our seeds of kindness, compassion, love, justice, truth , empathy, brotherhood, forgiveness, etc within our spirits . Let us do this daily in the future with meditation and soul searching .

The time for growth is NOW before we are called back to OUR Source.

Ramadan 19 1437

Once again Ramadan brings renewal and refreshment to the believers ... how merciful can our Creator be ? Even though we are not worthy to stand before him..except in humility and awe , HE LOVES us and forgives us in ways that we can only imagine .

This month makes us realize how Allah's promises actually affect our daily lives in 2016 ... it only matters how we act and what we choose to follow and BELIEVE.  It is known that all illness and/or good health stems from what we think . Somehow touching our thinking ? The Quran tells us how in its first Surah and the following Sura Baqarah how to change our thinking . Suffering it out sets the tone for embracing it , accepting it and seeking HIS help to get thru it . It is thru connecting with the Source that we learn the art of compassion,gentleness, patience, forebearing, persevering, etc.

Have we forgotten how Allah speaks to us ? His simple request is ,,, RETURN TO ME . I AM CALLING YOU!!!!

What a loving invitation this is ...NEVER FORGET THIS CALL ...even amidst adversity .  Thank YOU Ramadan for this lesson .

RAMADAN 5, 1437

HUMILITY and HOPE is what we bring to the table of IMAN ... may we continue to act along His guidelines with NO DOUBT in the plan . Accepting all that is presented to us and working to please our RABB with our deeds. Do not allow fear or mistrust to enter into our psyche ... and if it knocks at the door, give it to Allah ...HE knows what to do with it . It is our constant courage and strength that will take us across the portals between this life and the Hereafter. Our focus should be directed on that crossing and the visions we will have once we reach that glorious destination.

Today please be aware that the heart has varied levels of faith...changing with our daily deeds . Fill your heart regularly with positive feedback to raise the levels of your faith within.

Ramadan 1 1437

The ease with which this month started its visit was monumental ... it is all about allowing HIS will to permeate our surroundings. Submission is the KEY in all we do ... never forget that premise of Islam . We will be forgiven when we repent for personal errors ...aiming to not repeat our mistakes .

May His mercy be good for us all as we turn to Him in a desire to purify .

Shaban 20 1437

Seek  from the Supreme Root this month ... we can not  do this alone... HE IS OUR ALL  The Prophet (SAW) came to show us the way ... even though we can not approach his coattails except that we do try . It is in the attempt that we may win ( with HIS calling us ) .

Have we done enough ? It is never enough since we are weaklings and get distracted , BUT it is in the coming back that we find this refuge. Let us always accept what is not in our control ... looking forward to the great Hereafter where we will be rewarded according to our deeds.

Let Shaban's glow overpower all our fears...JUST BE RESOLUTE IN HIM!
Grace , mercy and gratitude is what  we have as friends along the way we are trodding.

Shaban 2 1437

This is the start of another Holy month ... the awe and wonder of it still enthralls me.

Shaban is known to be the Prophet Mohammed's month in which he asks us follow the Sunna and seek forgiveness for all our weaknesses . His promise to his Ummah is this... follow his warnings , be one of the faithful and we can have eternal life in the Paradise with the other faithful and prophets who have not gone astray .

Shaban has duties of visiting graves, doing voluntary nafl prayers, seeking forgiveness , and making daily surrender to the call of Allah . By doing these simple duties , we can find our heavenly peace and earthly ease .  The aura this month we will experience only serves to reinforce the mercy that Allah has for each of us when we are obedient to HIM.

Help us to follow these disciplines and find our inner strength to be restored to the BEST we can be.

Rajab 28 1437

This holy month has opened the doors to a continual state of awe and reverence for the FAITH given us by our Creator , Rabbiul Allah . The epiphany realized today is one of our sincere connection with our Lord and angels that He sends to minister to us ..once we seek HIM. HE does listen and answers us in His wisest ways .

LOVE is not a one way street ... it is a path to mutual longing for fulfillment of our needs and HIS humble request that we seek our answers from  HIM.  We are not to feel lonely when HE is near us and we , to HIM. Even if we are at death's door , the angels will carry us home to HIM and the darkness of this world will disappear from our sight . Letting go of this mortal world will be the hardest if we look to it for our answers. The attachments to "things" will hinder us on this eternity journey.

Wishing all the FAITHFUL who read this blog to HOLD ON TO THE ROPE OF FAITH in whichever way you choose . Allah does not see skin or hair colours , personality traits, wealth, genetics, family lines.... HE SEES SINCERITY OF HEART . Keep rust off the heart spot and you will never feel alone. Solitude is next to HIM ...
 

Rajab 11 1437

Now within another of the holy months in which we can repent, seek forgiveness , increase our givings and never battle against the will of God. We are here to serve HIM in every way . Now the spring flowers are ready to sprout , The warm sunshine , milder breezes , and clear sidewalks open our paths for easier walks ...let us remember the learning gained from darker days .

Being transposed into better selves is what we each daily ask ... accepting the divine guidance that lies within everyone. I thank you , my Rabb truly for every grace bestowed upon me . Please help me accept the trials ...equally balanced between the "eases" knowing only that with hope, faith and love I can accomplish everything ...thru the peace and understanding that only HE can give. MY DAYS truly come from HIM and I will go back to HIM accordingly . I seek the wisdom of each day to make me worthy .

Year 1437 was to be a transposing year for me to become my BEST ... let me succeed on that path please ISA>

21 Jumada I

Now as we realize that the cold winter will soon be leaving us , we can turn our eyes outward to rebirth and the spring-like thoughts. These past few weeks were filled with introspection and a lot of quiet moments of meditation and gratitude . The darkness that spread around us early every day and lifted late in the mornings, gave us a requiem time for reflecting on life and its transiencies . Whatever comes into the Present is simply a gift to teach ... let it be and then capture the treasure and then let it go . So much of our time is fleeting by as the river flows to the sea ... to capture moments is all we can do BUT to REACH OUT  and make some of them meaningful is my desire . Let me find the meaning between you and ME !!!

Rabi ul Thani 18 1437

Attending a wedding this month has been a grand display of "happiness" for so many family and friends .  A young couple has been joined in marriage with the blessings of our merciful Rabb . The full moon presided over the ceremonies with clear skies and a wonderful aura around us all .

Guests and family members were festively attired and filled the halls with  love and blessings for both families . Two grand parties were held with tasty food being served from decorative serving platters . Halls were decorated with colourful draperies , lighting to attract the eyes from every side, musical accompaniment of festive "ghannas" . It seemed as if the whole world was praising God for this wedding arrangement .

The two families mingled together trying to greet and meet in love and respect ... all the while hearts were crying to give and take from each other in a loving way .

It seemed destiny that many family members would meet again after many years of separation ... hearts would return home feeling blessed by their invitation to such a spectacle of happiness.

Rabi II

Just as we have started a new year ( gregorian) ,  so too do we need to make changes in our personal lives. It is the 2nd day of this month , and I feel the need to write about my future needs ,,, where am I going ? 2016 can be the year of transformations ... as Allah will direct His followers .

I need to keep focussed on whatever His needs are for me. I do know that Allah has a plan for each one of us... being aware is all that we can attempt . Once we are aware, the changes will automatically flow.  It is the AWARENESS that counts . I have come to see that the truest JOY in life is the SERVICE to others.  Now I must simply find my road of service for this year.

Let me meditate to find the truth from within myself ... so that my road of service will become evident . I need to make a Vision Board so that clarity will appear before my very eyes .

January 2 2016 ... RABI-1 1437

Where does my authenticity come from ?  The gregorian calendar tells me the New Year has started and we have just remembered Prophet Muhammed's birth ( PBUH) ..

When I look inside my heart , I find a warmth emanating there from a soul who wants to survive and do its BEST every day . What do I offer today and learn ? It appears that I was given today to grow and expand my contentment to others ...in ways that perhaps I had not done before .  It is just that I have goals extending beyond the SELF ... how can I see these goals clearly on my horizon?

When I make a Vision Board for my accomplishments ..what do I see? I need to create in my imaginations first so that the goals can grow into visible objects. LOVE is all around me within ...now how can I demonstrate this LOVE outside of me ?

I seek your help , my RABB ... to be confident to express myself in clarity , honesty and an open heart . I need to know that I am in control of my actions and I can manage any situation in which I find myself.  It is important to use my wisdom and speak with dignity and frankness of spirit .  FOR it is the thoughts that do " make the MAN" .    Anxiety and Depression are lost beside knowledge and courage to see what is real .  Let us all see the REAL ... the TRUTH will set us free.

I love you my Rabb for giving me insight ...beyond myself . Gratitude is who I want to be ... even in the face of crises . Let me lean on YOU !
